From July 19 to 20, Christie’s hosted its 2022 edition of their Art+Tech Summit in New York, where VCs, brands and Web3 projects met and discussed the current trends and the future of the market. Christie’s also announced Christie’s Ventures, an in-house investment fund in art and technology projects (Web 3, art-related financial products and technologies that enable seamless consumption of art) that will be headed by Devang Thakkar. Christie’s Ventures will focus on three areas: Web 3.0 (incorporating non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies and blockchains), art-related financial products and “technologies that enable seamless consumption of art”.
