Some photos will be presented after and before retouching to compare if they look good on camera.

Skam France - Elliot played by Maxence Danet-fauvel
βNames of Heartsβ did happen in a classroom which was later announced as a CLUBβs meeting room, thatβs why I started to look for a good spot for filming those scenes.
In this GIF, we can see that the natural lighting is lightly enhanced and fixed by a color gradient of color tones. However, it goes well with the contracts of warm shades like red. Therefore, since the first glance at βNames of Heartsβ strongly influenced by SKAM France season 3 - I think a spot with good natural light is one of the top priorities.
With the curtain unclosed - lights warp around the room dearly. Capture on Wednesday, 12/1/2024. Location: ICT room.
This place is alright, however, since the size of the club is small, a better option would be a smaller room. Or even, at someoneβs house as this is still in the planning stage so the final destination can be changed.
App/ Website used: PHOTOPEA AND CAPCUT.
Letβs make a comparison here - between the unedited photo, the slightly enough edit, and the one I played a lot of little tricks on.
Here, I learned how to use the S-curve to add or reduce contrastΒ in the best possible way. The one on the left corner was the original one with bright but not harsh light sources, next to it is the photo in which I had overused the S-curve abusively with some take on color gradient while the bottom one is what I have enhanced the color mood like old movie tape.
Then, I also tried many color masks on the video to find a suitable vibe for the romance. Overall, the first and the third suit my taste the best - however, as this is just a color mask, some parts are either overdone or some parts being ignored, therefore I still have a lot to learn to master the edit skills.
